Why do people dance?
Dancers.
People dance for lots of different reasons. Firstly, people dance for themselves; they dance because it’s their passion and they love to express and lose themselves through different genres of music. It’s also good way to break through personal barriers to get to know your inner feelings and express it through dance and the music. Dancing can also be cultural. People of different cultures dance to show ethnicity, their way of living and their cultural expression. During cultural dances there are different roles that can demonstrate about people’s lives and value in their cultural. Students and teachers have discovered that you can learn a lot about parts of the world and cultures by participating and watching dance. Next dancing is a great way of exercise. Dance can work your abs and other stomach muscles when you are pulling up and or doing crunches. It works to strengthen your leg muscles and calves, feet, arms and flexibility. It is also a way to help with coordination, balance, skills, coloration, posture and technique. Social dancing is also a popular category. When people go out there could be dancing at clubs, parties or just to have fun with your friends. Finally people dance for employment. There are plenty of people who dance on Broadway, cruise ships and even just to be a dance teacher. With that we get entertainment and lessons so the students could become better dancers. Studies have shown that taking dance classes or dancing in ethnic groups regularly is a way to keep a community or large population together.
